Hello, I’ve know that I haven’t posted in several months, and I apologize. I just entered high school, and life is crazy. I will try my best to get a post in at least once in two weeks. And big news, I got a new camera: Nikon D5200. I’m really happy about this, I’ve been asking for a DSLR for a while now.
I’ve been taking a lot of pictures with my new the past few months. Here are some of my shots:
That was pretty much the summary my photography in summer and fall. Winter is just around the corner! If you are interested in seeing more of my photography, click on the one of the pictures from my flickr photo stream>>>
Today’s daily prompt from the daily post is Lookin’ Out My Back Door “Look out your back window or door — describe what you see, as if you were trying to convey the scene to someone from another country or planet.”

When I look out my back door, I see a series of things. The first thing which catches my eye is the vegetable garden. It is a couple of feet high, and has soil filled in it almost to the top. A wooden barrier or boundary surrounds the garden, with a step stool in front for people to tend to the garden.
Another thing I notice is the next door house. They have a fence which separates our property from theirs. There is a small rectangular window in the side of the home. There are two pine trees in the backyard, a little taller than our house.
Coming in closer to my house, there is a deck, a reddish-brown color. Robins, sparrows, doves, and occasionally hawks or cardinals perch on the railing. They play, fight, and feed. In the spring, sometimes I even see small chicks learning how to fly.
As I was walking through a parking lot, I noticed a beautiful husky poking it’s head out of a car window.
A dried out cornfield laden with fresh snow and a small dog sculpture.
A little caterpillar. I think this one is called a Woolly Bear.
This was a really busy bee! It wouldn’t sit still for a second! Even so, I was able to catch it sitting on a flower.
Hello everyone, I apologize for not posting. All of my school work got in the way, and I just couldn’t fir it into my schedule.
The past few weeks, I have been horseback riding again.
This time, I took my camera!
Pippa the Clydesdale
This afternoon I went outside with my mom and photographed bubbles. The pictures didn’t turn out too great, so I photo shopped them.
It’s a bunneh!!
Hello everyone! I have 16 strikes in the post a day challenge.
I got the idea of this post from a blog called The Daily Post. This site gives daily prompts for new posts which you can use if you are running low on ideas. It also features a weekly challenge. The challenges can have to do with photography, or writing. I’d probably do the Photography challenge.
Back to the topic of the post, I would be a dish called…Precious Chocolate Shark Cake.
I chose Precious, because my name, Amulya, means precious in Kannada.
I put in chocolate because I love chocolate.
And last, my name is similar to a word in Russian which means Shark. Aкула, or akula. I like sharks too, so it fits in!
This is what it would look like:
The inside of the cake would be chocolate. I like the blue frosting, though.
I would love to try this cake sometime. 🙂
